AI Pet Symptom Checker

Something's off with your dog or cat and you're not sure whether it can wait until morning. Tell the AI vet what you're seeing — the species, age, what happened and since when — and add a photo or short video if you have one. You'll get a first-look answer: what it could be, what to watch for, and whether it needs a vet today.

Your first question is free. You can attach photos on the next screen.

How it works

  1. 1. Describe it

Write what you see in your own words. Age, breed, how long it's been going on, and whether your pet is still eating, drinking and acting normally all change the answer.

  2. 2. Add a photo or video

A rash, a swollen eye, the color of vomit or stool, the way your pet is breathing — pictures carry details that are hard to put into words.

  3. 3. Get an answer

The AI works through the likely causes, tells you which signs would make it urgent, and asks for anything important that's missing.

These are situations where minutes matter. Call ahead to the nearest 24-hour vet while you're on the way.

What this tool can't do

  • It doesn't replace an exam. A vet can feel, listen and run tests; the AI only sees what you describe and photograph.
  • It doesn't prescribe or give drug doses.
  • If the answer says to see a vet, please do.

Questions

Is the AI pet symptom checker free?

Your first question is free on every account. After that, consultations use credits: $9.99 buys 50 consultations and $29.99 buys 200. There's no subscription.

Can it tell me if my pet needs the emergency vet?

It tells you which signs make a situation urgent and whether what you described sounds like one. If you already see an emergency sign — trouble breathing, a bloated belly with unproductive retching, a male cat unable to pee, a long seizure, collapse or possible poisoning — go straight to a 24-hour vet.

Can I upload a photo of my dog's or cat's skin, eye or stool?

Yes. Photos, short videos and PDFs such as lab results can be attached on the consultation screen. Clear, close, well-lit photos help the most.

Is this a real veterinarian?

No. It's an AI trained to reason like a vet works through a case, and it says so. It's a first look to help you decide what to do next — not a diagnosis.

Emergency criteria follow the referenced guides: VCA Animal Hospitals and Cornell Riney Canine Health Center (GDV), Cornell Feline Health Center and AVMA (feline urinary blockage), ASPCA Animal Poison Control.
