Most pet owners look for a clinic twice: once when they get a pet, and once in an emergency at an inconvenient hour. The second search goes much better if the first one already happened. This finder shows nearby clinics with ratings, hours, and directions so you can sort that out before you need it.
A regular clinic handles vaccinations, wellness exams, dental work, and most illnesses during business hours. Emergency and specialty hospitals stay open overnight and on holidays, and they carry the imaging, surgery, and critical-care capability a day practice usually doesn't. Know both before you need either — the number you want at 2 a.m. is not the one you use for annual shots.
Confirm the hours you'd actually use, not just the posted ones — whether they take walk-ins, how far out routine appointments book, and what they do after closing. Ask whether they handle your species: plenty of clinics that see dogs and cats do not see rabbits or birds. If your pet has a chronic condition, ask whether they refer out for it and where.
Vaccination and medication records, the name and dose of anything your pet takes, and roughly when the current problem started. If there's vomiting or diarrhea, a photo saves a lot of description. If your pet ate something, bring the packaging. For an emergency, call ahead if you can — it lets them prepare while you're on the way.
